The Sauvignon Blanc hailed from a 17-year-old vineyard site in Darling growing on deep-red Hutton and Clovelly soils. The block is situated in the well-known Darling Hills on a western slope, 13 kilometres from the Atlantic Ocean. The Semillon component was harvested from a 14-year-old block in Elgin. The site was chosen for its South-Western aspect as well as for the soils comprising of gravelly topsoil with some ferricrete (iron rich) deposits, on top of clay subsoil from weathered shale.A classic white Bordeaux blend comprised of Sauvignon Blanc (65%) and Semillon (35%).

If you like classy oaked Chardonnay you'll be delighted by this wine. The nose has layers of flowers, minerals and stones, with loads of white nectarine fruit interspersed with the nuttiness of poached pear. The palate is silky yet austere, with a rounder finish that gives its personality but with a clean and long lemon flavoured finish. It shows the epitome of balance with delicate flavours that keep emerging throughout its exceedingly persistent finish.
